It will be five years from the date I was diagnosed with Uterus Fibroids. The first three years felt like I was in zombie mode. Just walking around unsure of what I actually was "medically diagnosed" with. Then my unsurity turned into denial that I was even going through it at all. By the time, the heavy bleeding and questions about my mental stability was in full gear; I was completely drained. I went to five different doctors for their medical anaylysis. The first two doctors and a hospital placed my health disorder as "Uterus Fibroids". I went on birthcontrol pills to assist with the hormone imbalance. It worked for just a month or so. Then it became just dealing with it and ensuring I did not wait until I bled myself to death by taking iron and vitamin c, together when the heavy bleeding began. I changed my diet to much less process foods, to less snacking and soda intake. Then to daily water intake and more fruits and vegetables. I still incorporate beef, chicken, pork and seafood but more vegetables into the meal. The bleeding has not stopped. It has lessened through the years but the biggest factor that triggers the bleeding is stress. Hormones, stress level and diet; seems to drive to heavier fibroids. My tummy on those hard months look like I am nine months pregnant. Then on months I just don't have my monthly normal bleeding, I skip up to the most four months or just spotting. Diet. This is the one thing I took back control over. It is still a working process but knowing it is working/helping just makes that control a major plus for me. Finding this website has helped me to go further onto my journey.
